Press Release:

NEVER TOO LATE TO GET A COLLEGE DIPLOMA , LCC-BACOLOD’S ADULT EDUCATION EQUIVALENCY AND MODULAR INSTRUCTION

LCC Bacolod offers adult learning program through equivalency and modular instruction La Consolacion College Bacolod has an on- going Adult learning program, a modular degree program for those who want to attain a college diploma but do not have time to attend regular classes. The program is a variation of the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency Advancement Program (ETEEAP), which allows working individuals to equate their work experiences whether through employment or by practicing as an entrepreneurship, with grade credits in courses required in the curriculum of a degree program.

This comprehensive educational program is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education and leads takers into degrees in  Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resource Management (BSBA-MM); Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management (BSBA-HRM); Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and Bachelor of Arts major in English. Meantime however, only the BSBA-MM and the BSBA-HRM are being offered. LCC Bacolod caters to all sorts of adult learners from various industry backgrounds like BPO agents & supervisors, entrepreneurs, and businessmen alike. The program targets those who have substantial experience in a particular field of endeavor but lacks the opportunity for career advancement because they are short of educational qualifications. One student for example, has been working with a reputable pawnshop for 20 years. Despite her experience and good performance, she was never promoted to a managerial position because she is only a high school graduate with no college credits at all. She applied for the Adult Education program last December, 2014 and is expected to graduate by this October, 2015. Existing for more than ten years now, the program has graduated successful local entrepreneurs like Jojo Vito, who owns one of the biggest local souvenir manufacturing company; Frederick Pe owner of one of the most stable local travel agency and part-time faculty of the University of St. La Salle – he has recently finished a doctorate degree; and Mr. Mark Vizon, an entrepreneur who owns a local frame manufacturing shop. Students in the adult education must be at least 21 years old and/or must have been working for at least 5 years. Interested applicants may bring a copy of their Report Card or Transcript of Records; and Certificate of Employment or Business Permit to La Consolacion College Bacolod, Galo corner Gatuslao streets, Bacolod City. Look for Ms.Cutie Acosido in the LCCB Graduate School office.

Hi, inquiring here from Qatar, working for almost 20 years and current position is Logistics Executive for 7 years without a degree, I’m interested in taking BSBA in human resource, what should I do to take this eteeap course, I am from Iloilo that’s why I choose LCC.

I first heard ETEEAP from my boss at our BPO company. Initially, I was ecstatic, purely excited on enrolling, finally saying, “This is my chance to get the degree I’ve always wanted to achieve!” Come first day of class, I had a few friends, some at their 30’s to 40’s, self-employed, government workers, parents, etc. To this day, I still see them looking forward to every class, working on every paper, fearless, energetic, challenged and excited. I am beyond grateful that we are given this chance to prove ourselves that it’s not too late to earn that degree. Not too late to learn something that you’re passionate about. ETEEAP gives us hope, regardless of your age and your status. So thank you LCC-Bacolod!

At first, I was hesitant on deciding whether to join LCCB-ETEEAP program coz I’m already working and I said “Who needs a diploma if you can work without it???” On the other hand, I said why not give it a try, and I did, and as days goes by, I was proven wrong and I’m glad that I am. A little more push and little more time, I’m gonna get the MISSING PIECE in my Credentials, MY DIPLOMA. It is indeed never too late for anyone.

After working for 7 years I never thought that I would be able to go back to school. Having to go to work in the evening up until morning would really make it impossible to think about school however EETEAP gave me another chance to get a college degree that i have missed before. The program helps me a lot especially on my schedule since the classes are on weekends and is very convenient for the working students like me. Through ETEAAP I also met new friends and gain experience. Now I can achieve my goal while working at the same time since It is true that Education is a passport to our future. Thanks to EETEAP < 3

I didn’t know about this program, till I decided to continue my studies for career advancement. I was really planning a long time ago but due to schedule between home and work I was not able to do so. Then my colleague says, if you don’t want to take grade 11 and 12, you better enroll soon. I was like, huh?! Really?! OMG! I told myself to better get started now, so I started searching in Google about it, then came across this program (ETEEAP). I started asking myself, why I didn’t know of this program, I was not informed, lolz. Then I realized, it’s on the banner that I’ve seen at LCC one time, with the guy standing as a speaker, who happens to be my very supportive professor now, Dr. Jojo Vito, thank you Sir. I was so happy that I found out about ETEEAP, great experience, nice and considerate professors and classmates and the best part of it is studying while having fun. I’m so excited to receive my diploma this coming May. So for those employed and can’t move up because you don’t have a degree, this is your chance.

I have been working since I was 18 years old and now that I am 25 and been given the opportunity to study again, I am really grateful for LCCB-ETEEAP for it has given me another chance to get that degree that I have been dreaming of. No matter what your circumstance, having that diploma is not impossible because the program has offered us class schedules that are most convenient for us, you can save alot once you apply in this program. You can save money, compared to enrolling in regular schools, ETEEAP is 4x cheaper. You can also save time, it will only take a year or less to graduate. Thank you, LCCB ETEEAP for giving us this once in a lifetime opportunity. This program has certainly helped a lot individuals fulfill their dreams. ❤

  10. It is never too late to get a diploma and kudos to LCC-Bacolod for this program.

  11. This is a great news. I totally agree, it is never too late to get a college diploma.

  12. It’s great of LCC Bacolod to launch this program!

  13. What a great program. I totally agree that it’s never too late to invest in your education.

  14. Looks like a great program to start for college diploma. The features are amazing.

  15. I believe nothing’s late when it come’s to learning. I am planning to enroll at TESDA online soon to gain more knowledge on different aspects.

  16. This is a good program. It can motivate people to pursue a college diploma.

  17. I’d like to echo Len’s sentiments, age should not be a constrain to education. Thanks for sharing Jojo

  18. this is a great adult education program, learning doesn’t need to stop when getting old instead we must learn more!

  19. It’s like the concept of open university right? The experience being in a classroom and socializing with classmates is still different. But this is nice if the profession you are targeting next requires some degree of achievement in school. I’m not sure if I will survive and be inspired by just using a module with less interaction though.

  20. This is a great program and opportunity for our people as we all know, not everyone gets to finish high school and college seems to be too much for them. I love the example of the student who was in a pawnshop for 20 years. It gives us full understanding what the program aims. 🙂

  21. Education is every important and it is so nice to know that there are programs like this. Age does not matter when it comes to this and for dreams to be able to achieve and on top of that to be able to enjoy life that God gave.

  22. I couldnt stress enough on the importance of education and it’s great that there are educational institutions like LCC Bacolod that spearhead adult education programs. I hope that a lot of our fellow kababayans take advantage of this program.

  23. This program was really nice sir. Through this Adult Learning program it can really help others to become more successful someday.

  24. Interesting Sir, HighSchool grad ako and Vacational Comtech pwede kaya ako dyan 🙂
