Opening rites of Fragrance Factory at SM City, Bacolod
FRAGRANCE FACTORY, NOW IN BACOLOD CITY
The Chemworld’s Fragrance factory now on its 10th year, opened their 10th Branch at SM City, Bacolod. Chemworld which was established in 1985 by chemist Fred C. Reyes has been focusing on the distribution of specialty chemicals in the personal care and food industries.
Inside the Fragrance Factory Store
The Fragrance factory which is a specialty store offering ingredients in personal care and fragrances is here to offer earning opportunities to the Negrences by providing potential entrepreneurs with the basic training and simple business template which one can use to start their own business.
I was very excited when I was invited on the basic training on perfume making.
Part of the training was an explanation of the differentiation of various fragrance formulation as follows:

During the perfume-making session
Take note that all ingredients are available at the fragrance factory and you can do whatever scent you want. Of course, in as much that we are not an expert in the field of perfume making, we did just did a version of what is already popular in the market. I did a version of the “Cool Water”, but who knows one of these days you will just be seeing in the market the labels on the scents carrying my name.
Now, here’s the simple procedure in perfume making:
- Dissolve the fixative in the fragrance.
- Afterwards, dissolve the DPG in the mixture.
- Add the alcohol.
- Add the water slowly while mixing.
- If cloudy, add fragrance solubilizer drop by drop while mixing until solution clears up.
The mixture requires a 7-days aging inside the refrigerator or 15 days in room temperature. But since I am too excited to use what I have created I placed it inside the refrigerator. Don’t forget to put a label, or some people in the house might ingest the perfume.
For those who would want to start their own perfume business they can attend the training for only PHP 1,000. The starter kit (a) costs only PHP 3,500, while starter kit (B) costs only PHP4,000.
