Get Ready for the Job Interview
Many job applicants thought that they can simply get at the job interview and “that’s it!” Well, some people are really good and they can just get away with it, but this dos not happen all the time to everyone especially fresh graduates.
During a job interview, interviewers would really know who comes prepared and who are not. For instance, when asked about the product and their impression of the company they are applying to, many can just give a shallow answer.
In my experience as Human Resource Practioner who have been interviewing for many years is that, the key to successful interviews is proper planning. Whether the interview is set just like an informal meeting or interview with a panel top executives ,it is essential that you prepare and practice as much as the time frame will allow.
Recently I was invited by Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod to give a talk entitled: “Am I ready for the Job?” The lecture concentrates on the Do’s and Don’ts in job interviews. I was elated knowing the enthusiasm of the graduating students to learn some tips on job interviews.

Amongst the common benefits in preparing for a job interview include the following:
- Preparation will boost one’s chances for success.
- One can anticipate the questions which will be asked and he/she can practice in advance.
- Good preparation includes a little research about the company and one will know what the organization’s needs are. The candidate will be able to match his/her skills exactly and as a result may convince the interviewer that he has been the right person for the job
- Preparing for a job interview means presenting yourself well and this will help you make a great first impression which includes the right attire.
- It will also help the applicants decide if the job is really for him.
- Definitely, good preparation can help ease out some nervousness on the part of the applicant.
- By preparing for the job interview, applicants will be able to avoid being late.

You gave really great tips. It really pays to be prepared during job interviews. It shows how professional one is and how much he or she wants to work for the company.
As an applicant it’s very important to do your research about the company you are applying for.
It is very important to be confident (even if you had to pretend that you are lol!) It gives you a lot of thumbs up in interviews.
I think it really helps that we are confident. Talks like this can prepare the interviewer for better and more confident answer.
Very helpful article for new graduates and people who’re looking for a job right now. It’s been a while since I had a formal interview. Being a freelance, my “interview” is mostly done through emails or skype call.
